The soils, terrain and system are critical to the success of a new septic system. |
Septic Siting Services |
|
The long-term success of a septic system depends greatly on the type of soil surrounding it. As shown by the high failure rates in many parts of North Dakota, percolation tests do not always provide adequate information to gauge soil and size requirements. To reduce the failure rate, Burleigh and Cass Counties have adopted part of the North Dakota Plumbers’ Code that requires soil characterization as part of the septic system design before construction permits are issued. Only registered North Dakota Professional Soil Classifiers are authorized by law to oversee and manage projects that characterize the soil in drainage field placement. Western Plains Consulting has Registered Professional Soil Classifiers on staff with septic siting experience to get your project done. |
